Directional thrusters flank the main thruster, making the PHOD very manueverable.  Two landing pads swing down from the sides of the PHOD balancing it without interfering with the rotation of the defense array on the bottom of the craft.  A communication dish also spins on the roof, and folds down for cruising.  The pilot lies down on his stomach to pilot the ship, giving him great visibility through the wide viewport.
